Pen y Ghent from Horton in Ribblesdale
A 6 mile walk from Horton in Ribblesdale, over Pen y Ghent, and down again via the Pennine Way. The weather was appaling on the ascent with absolutley no visibility and driving rain. Half way down, it suddenly cleared and we finished the walk in glorious sunshine.

Pen y Ghent, from the cark park in Horton......This was taken at the end of the walk as it couldn't be seen at the start!!!

A close up of the same view

The first photo i managed to take as we decended from the summit and the cloud suddenly broke.
