A summer walk around the Fairfield  Horseshoe

September 2010

A long and tiring walk around an absolutely fantastic arc from Ambleside. This walk takes in 8 Wainwright summits in a 12 mile walk. The views (in good weather) are as good as it gets in the Lake District. Tony and Myself did this walk in July 2010 and were lucky enough to have fantastic weather making it a superb days walking. A well earned pint in Ambleside rounded off a superb day.

Setting out from Ambleside, Nab Scar is the 1st of 8 Wainwright Sumitts on the route
