Crawshawbooth and Lumb
September 2016

This walk is best described a "good excercise. Other than that a pretty dull ramble across barren and wet moorland.

Climbing on to the moors above Crawshawbooth

And the view behind

following the Rossendale Way

Clowbridge Reservoir comes in to view

and then onward across the damp and barren moors

The sun makes an appearance and brightens up the whole aspect

Heading towards the village of Lumb

following the Pennine Bridleway

Descending to Lumb

Stream ambling into the village

The impressive but now unused Church in Lumb

The paths across the moors where absolutely wet through, and its the end of summer. Going to be like swamp in winter

Dropping off the moors and back to Crawshawbooth

The village approaches

Crashawbooth
