The shoes at the edge of the river are made of bronze and are a monument to the many hundreds of Jews who were lined up and shot, only for their bodies to fall in the river and be washed away. during World war 2. At the time of our visit, it was freezing cold and the snow was falling. We were able to walk away with our thoughts. |
